'Is it gonna hurt?'

'Is it gonna hurt', these are the words that. we fearfully ask when sitting at a dental surgery. We oft possess - in our minds - opinions and facts said by others based on their experiences.

I was sitting there waiting for the dentist to attend me. The scrutiny of the chiseling sounds coming out of the dental room of painless miracle. The horrific depict that every individual displays when coming out of tooth-hell - the palm rubbing the cheek where the construction took place.

The image the patients paints, coming from the room, just puts the awaiting visitors in brutal discomfort. 'How was it?', I asked.
'It was dreadful', the other patient said. I panicked and hastily told my mother I wanted to leave.

Her face had a bump and she looked incredibly pale.

'But you look like you have no pain', I said trying to work my magic in order for her to say ease-settling words.
'I guess, I may have exaggerated', she said 'However, the insignificant pain gets to you in some point'.

In my case it was worse, they had to perform a root canal, and when I researched the dental web said it can be crucifying.

I recall when my orthodontist (braces dentist) frankly told me I had two bad teeth - tooth 27 and 24. The way he said it, made me immediately swallow my bitter-dry saliva. I am not very fond of dentist and it takes a miracle for me to attend/make it for my appointments.

I recall when this old beguiled dentist pulled out an unwanted tooth, he was having a civil war in my oral cavity. The cracking sounds coming out of my mouth made me involuntarily cry.

I crossed my butt as I advanced to the dental room, the doctor was all smiles-no-pain kind of dude. We exchanged greets and I told him to go right into business. The teeth construction took a mere painless thirty minutes.

I survived pain and I shalt fear no more due to modern anesthetic! Now I have teeth to worth praise!
